Domestic fridges and freezers – scope and exclusions

Scope

The Standard specifies the method for determining the performance characteristics of electric refrigerating appliances intended for household and similar use. Appliances covered by the Standard include refrigerators, refrigerator/freezers and freezers.

Exclusions

Appliances such as multi-fuel refrigerating appliances, extra low voltage units (including d.c.) and mobile or portable units are not included in the scope of this Standard.
